  • Looking for ways to better understand and communicate with your youngest employees or relatives?
  • Want the ability to interpret the new language of the Millennials (those born in the late 1970s through 2000)?
  • What about clues to see how type is revealed by them?
Join us as Judah Pollack—a new leader in the type community—uses film clips, YouTube videos, social networks, and online games to help us explore how growing up with an explosion of technology allows Millennials to express type in new ways.

The Millennial generation communicates through images as much as words. Their language has been shaped by technology to become image. Think of texting images like OMG, LOL, or ROTFLMAO. They shoot movies on their iPhones and edit them on their iMacs. It is a mistake to communicate to this generation through language alone, and through Freudian signs. They are already creating their own symbols and will relate to a Jungian symbology.

In this workshop Judah will look at some of the Millennials' cultural symbols and how they correspond to Type. He will also investigate ways to use these new symbols to engage the younger generation in a dialogue around Type. You will come away heartened that the Millennials are not as hopeless as the conventional media makes them out to be and excited at your own prospects for communicating effectively with them.
